Jose Francisco Lopez Salcedo, artistically known as Lopescalcedo was born in Tarma, Peru in 1955. Lopesalcedo is part of an exceptional group of painters who graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in Lima in the last 15 years. He studied with the renowned artists Leonel Velarde and Felix Rebolledo and, also, studied drawing with the beloved Cristina Gálvez.
Among the most important exhibitions of his works are: Museo de Arte Italiano (1988, 1988) Acuerdo de Cartagena (1990, 1989, 1988), Galería 2Vs (1988), Embassy of Poland (1989) Galería Gala (1991, 1990, 1989), Petroperú (1990), Galería América 92 (1991), Galería Arte Moderno, Colombia (1990) Galería Rubens, Colombia (1990).
